Getting to Know Your Teachers: Ms. Antzoulides

Everyone’s favorite volleyball coach, bowling coach, and gym teacher here! Ms. A has been a teacher at Rutherford High School since 2003 and has been the highlight of everyone’s high school years since! I have had the privilege of playing volleyball and softball for Ms. A since freshman year. She retired as a softball coach in 2021 to pick up the bowling position and has remained the volleyball coach since she came here. I interviewed Ms.A about her experience at Rutherford and her life and here is what she had to say!

September 2003 

  1. How long have you been coaching for?

A long time.

I was a head softball coach for 23 seasons

I am currently a head volleyball coach for 31 seasons. This is year #32

I am currently the head bowling coach for the past three seasons

  1. How many wins do you have for softball and volleyball?

Total Softball wins – 308

Current Volleyball Wins – 541

Current Bowling Wins – 17

Of course, this is my 40th school year!

Asker and Ruffles

  1. What is your favorite thing to do over the weekend?

As crazy as this sounds, I do a lot of school work to prepare myself for the upcoming week.

I also meal plan, do laundry, ironing (yes, I iron), and try to sleep in.

  1. What is your favorite thing to do down the shore?

When I am down the shore I always take a walk on the boardwalk. I ride my electric bike. I sit in peace

In my backyard. I find rest there.
