It’s October now, which means we’re in Halloween season! Lots of people are gearing up for the holiday with decorations and planning their costumes. And there are some people who still haven’t decided what they’re going as this Halloween. But don’t fret! This article can help you figure out your costume.
A baby pygmy hippo, Moo Deng, recently went viral for her funny outbursts and relatable personality. So dressing as her for Halloween will definitely get you lots of compliments! All you really need is a regular hippo costume and you can even make your own to match her color. You can even do ‘Moo Deng Makeup’ in case you want to be a little extra.
One of the most common Halloween costumes, going as a witch is a very good decision. There are many different ways you can dress as a witch this Halloween. You can either do the usual black dress with a black pointy hat or one of the witches from the upcoming Wicked movie. If you choose Elphaba, you basically just dress like a typical witch but you paint yourself green. If you choose Glinda, you can go in a blue or pink dress (depending on which you prefer) with blonde hair. The Wicked costumes are even better if you do it with a friend.
Now, most people are dressing up as Charli XCX for Brat Summer this Halloween but if you want a more obvious costume, I have an idea. You get a piece of cardboard, paint it in lime green, and write ‘brat’ in black on it. Then, you tape it on a shirt (preferably green). That way, people will KNOW that you dressed up as ‘brat’ for Halloween even if they don’t know the album.
You can never go wrong with a fantastical creature costume. This is very easy as long as you have a unicorn onesie or headband. You could also add some glitter to your face and hair for fun.
Who said it’s too early for Christmas? Not Spirit Halloween! This costume is great because it is simple and you can use it all year round. You can also buy it literally anywhere that sells costumes, like Party City or Spirit Halloween. In fact, you might already have one at home!
Cinderella But After Her Stepsisters Ruined Her Dress
Similar to witches, Disney princesses are also very popular costumes, especially among kids. If you want to go as a princess but you don’t want your costume to look like everybody else’s, this is the perfect costume for you. First, you’ll need a pink dress. Second, you’ll need a piece of long, white fabric like a tablecloth. Third, take a pair of scissors and cut parts of the pink dress, as many as you want. Fourth, attach the white fabric to the inside of the pink dress. To finish off the outfit, put on a blonde wig, formal shoes, and you’re done!

Surprisingly, there are numerous websites and stores you can buy this costume from. You can buy this from Walmart, Amazon, Etsy, AliExpress.com, etc. Prices may range due to sales. To make it even funnier, you should try doing some of her dances.
Another classic Halloween costume! Clowns will forever be creepy so they make a great costume for Halloween. If you’re preparing at the last minute and can’t buy a costume from Spirit Halloween, Party City, Walmart, or Amazon, you can always do clown makeup. The Joker and Harley Quinn in ‘Joker: Folie á Deux’ are also great characters to go as this Halloween, especially if you want to dress as a clown with your friend or partner.
Pumpkin
This costume is usually for babies, toddlers, and pets. But don’t let that stop you from rocking a pumpkin outfit this season! The amazing quality of pumpkin costumes is how easily they can range from cute to funny to scary. To be a cute pumpkin, just put on the typical pumpkin costume with the stem hat or even just a pumpkin t-shirt. Same as the clown, you can use makeup/face paint if you can’t buy the actual outfit. To be funny, you could buy an inflatable pumpkin costume that covers the upper half of your body. In case you want to be scary, you could put on a spooky pumpkin head to cover your face, so you look mysterious.
Flo from Progressive
This costume is simple yet iconic. Luckily, Party City, Walmart, Amazon, etc. provide this costume. However, you can also DIY. Get a white polo shirt, blue headband, white apron, paper, and markers. Use a blue marker to write ‘PROGRESSIVE’. Then, cut some pieces of paper and copy the designs of Flo’s pins to them. You can just leave your hair the way it is but if you want Flo’s exact hair, get a wig that looks like hers.
