It has been more than two years since Olivia Rodrigo has captivated the fans online with her second album GUTS. Now with her third album announcement, fans show the same love they did the years prior.

Rodrigo announced her newest album on April 2, 2026, with the album scheduled to be released on June 12, 2026. She has also said that her album will contain 13 tracks. Fans have been tracking Rodrigo for months for this new album to be released.

Fan Speculations – Rumors and Confirmed Facts

Fans, also known as Livvies, ever since the end of Rodrigo’s recent tour for her album GUTS have been speculating about her next album release. Back on August 3, 2025 while on her GUTS tour in Montreal, Canada, she came onto the stage wearing a shirt embedded in rhinestones with the number 3 on it.

She’s also alluded to the end of the GUTS era.

“This is definitely going to be the last GUTS show,” she has said in videos captured by her fans. She has also said that she “can’t wait to get back on the road one of these days”.

Closer to the album’s announcement, fans posted pictures and videos of a purple wall that transitioned into pink over the course of a few days in Los Angeles. Fans originally speculated that the wall would be red, which would reflect the new album cover, but instead it went pink.

What’s Olivia Rodrigo’s First Single off the album?

Rodrigo’s first confirmed single which is titled Drop Dead comes out on April 17, 2026. Fans are already making guesses as to what the single will sound like, saying how Amy Allen and Dan Nigro are listed as writers on her album. Dan Nigro was confirmed for being a writer on Rodrigo’s newest album.

She also was rumored to hint to the single being dropped on Twitter, or also known as X, by showing an image of heart-shaped locks that were scattered around to four different places – London, Paris, New Jersey, and Los Angeles.

What Will Her New Album Be About?

In an interview with Daily Star in June of 2025, Rodrigo spoke about how:

“Hopefully by the time I put out my next album, it’ll feel more mature and like a different take on things,” hinting to fans that there will be a new album and how it may be different than her past two albums.

She also touches upon her personal growth impacts her creative outputs, which allows her to write her songs.

“As I just grow as a person, and I learn more about music, and I have different perspectives, it’s impossible for that not to be reflected in your songwriting”.
