Why “Avengers: Endgame” could be the highest grossing film of all time

Warning: the following article may contain spoilers.

The new Avengers movie titled Avengers: Endgame is headed to theaters on April 26, 2019. Some fans are calling this “the film of the decade” and the greatest superhero mash-up of all time. But why?

First, let’s look at the last Avengers movie titled Infinity War. In this movie, we saw all of our favorite heroes trying to take out the evil Thanos. Thanos wants all of the infinity stones to wipe out 50% of all the universe’s living things. SPOILER ALERT The Avengers fail in Infinity War and 50% of all living creatures die including some of our favorite heroes. This left a massive cliffhanger at the end of the movie.

Now in Avengers: Endgame, they have to answer the question: how can they reverse what Thanos did and how can they stop him? The movie also might be the last movie featuring some heroes because of their expiring contracts with Marvel such as Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), and Chris Hemsworth (Thor).

Avengers: Endgame is expected to make 2.5 billion dollars at the box office, surpassing Avatar as the highest grossing film of all time. I think Endgame will be the highest grossing film of all time due to its storyline and it being the epic end to phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
